I intend to lead participants through a deeper understanding of the value of daily prayer as a means of achieving greater hope. This will create in us, a more relevant relationship with God so that we may better serve him as pilgrims who will lead others toward God.
My religious education began in first grade and continued through life. I hold a B.S. in Language Arts, Masters in Counseling and Mid-Management and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been honored to have served on my Parish Council; taught Religious Education to high school students and Confirmation Preparation; Eucharistic Minister and Lecture and now Coordinating the Ministers of the Sick for our Parish. We visit the sick and take the Eucharist to those unable to attend church. I recently completed a uear-long course of study through the Diocese of Brownsville. This, I am hoping will alllow me to serve as a Chaplain in one of our hospitals
Even though we have been redeemed by Christ, we are still prone to the weakest inclinations of our humanity. Because of this, our human relationships suffer; even, or specially, our relationships with other believers. In this Talk, Fr. Mario Alberto Castro will use the Encounter between Mary and Elizabeth as a model for the relationship between Women of Faith.
Fr. Mario, ordained to the Priesthood on May 27, 2000, is a Priest of the Diocese of Brownsville. He has served as Pastor in various parishes throughout the Diocese. With a passion for teaching and evangelization, Fr. Mario has a unique and engaging way of presenting the Truths of our Faith in simple and relatable ways. If there’s one way to describe him, it’s that he is a man who is passionately in love with the Lord Jesus, with an ardent desire to make him known, proclaiming the love, compassion and mercy of our God.
